DREAMLIKE PASSAGE
Über das Motiv
An infinite perspective of Moorish arches immersed in a creamy, almost ethereal white creates a hypnotic tunnel toward the light. Delicate ornamental decorations on every arcade span give the composition rhythm and depth, and soft tonal transitions plunge the whole into a dreamy, almost transcendent mood. The calligraphic inscription 'A fairy tale is a bridge to the truth,' woven into the architecture, completes the poetic character of the pattern, combining the beauty of form with the word. It's a vision of a place suspended between fairy tale and reality, between east and west.
